A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kevin worked in pork processing for the John Morrell Packing Company from 1979 to 1981 and was a member of Butchers Local 7. He also worked as an apprentice, journeyman, and backroom cutter for Keller’s Food Market from 1981 to 1989. During his time at Keller’s, Kevin was a member and steward of Butchers Local 610 and then UFCW Local 1099 (following the merger of the Butchers and UFCW in 1986).
Since 1989, Kevin has held numerous positions within former UFCW Local 1099, including assignments in servicing, bargaining, and training, and as Director of Servicing and Director of Bargaining. Kevin has also served as Executive Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer of Local 75.
Kevin is a trustee on the UFCW Health and Welfare and Pension Funds, a delegate on area labor councils, and a delegate of the Dearborn County, Indiana Democratic Party. In 2000, Kevin was the Democratic candidate for Indiana House of Representatives, District 55.
Kevin received his Master of Arts Degree in Labor Studies from the University of Massachusetts and his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Labor Studies from Antioch University.
Kevin lives in Bright, Indiana, and is a member of St. Teresa Catholic Parish. He has been married to his wife, Paige, since 1981 and has four children, KC, Joe, Kate, and Morgan.
