New Contract for Nearly 1,100 Members of UFCW Local 75 at Napoleon Plant Overwhelmingly Ratified

NAPOLEON, OH - - Workers at Campbell's Soup ratified a new three year agreement covering nearly 1,100 workers at the Campell Soup Company.  Workers at Campbell's Soup are represented by United Food and Commercial Workers Union (UFCW) Local 75.  The new agreement provides for nearly 6% in wage increases over the next three years, and secures affordable health care with benefit improvements over the life of the contract.  "We fought hard to keep our benefits and improve them," said Brian Bomer, Campbell's Chief Steward, and member of the Bargaining Committee.

UFCW Local 75 Secretary-Treasurer Steve Culter commented that, "A positive contract like this is good for workers at Campbell's, and good for our community.  In this economic climate, workers continue to struggle just to hold on to what they have, so for us to make improvements like this is a real testament to the power of collective bargaining and to the solidarity of the members at Campbell's."
