Labor Day 2017: We Serve You

UFCW Local 75: We Serve You

UFCW Local 75 is a union of 30,000 hard-working men and women united across Western Ohio,

Kentucky, and Indiana. We proudly serve our friends and neighbors every day in supermarkets,

drugstores, food packing and processing plants, and health care facilities. Each year, we focus on giving

back to the community and taking care of our union family through events that help better the lives of

our members and celebrate our solidarity.

Members of UFCW unions across the country help raise resources for the Leukemia and Lymphoma

Society (LLS) and the fight against blood cancers. UFCW Local 75 remains committed to this cause,

raising over $1 million in the past 10 years to benefit LLS. Our members come together for Light The

Night Walks in Cincinnati, Dayton, and Toledo each Fall- carrying lanterns for survivors, supporters, and

in memory of loved ones lost.

Before the school year begins, UFCW Local 75 holds an annual School Supply drive through our Minority

Coalition and Women’s Network. Every year, the Local adopts a school and members donate bags full of

school supplies to make sure each child is prepared for the new school year. In 2017, donations will

benefit Glenwood Elementary School in Toledo.

Our members work around the clock feeding American families, and UFCW Local 75 is committed to

improving the lives of those in need. This past May, our Local participated in the Letter Carriers Stamp

Out Hunger Food Drive, sponsoring more than 100,000 grocery bags for Southwest Ohio. Donated food

was collected from doorsteps and delivered to households throughout Cincinnati, Dayton, and Toledo.

UFCW Local 75 serves the community every day in many ways. We serve YOU. From the processing floor

to the checkout line. And when you shop at Union stores like Kroger, Chief, CVS, Rite Aid, Great Scot,

Rite Price, and Lee Williams Meats in Point Place, Rossford, and Sylvania, you’re supporting the

community too. We’re standing together for good jobs, strong communities, and a better future for all

working people.
