UFCW Local 75 and Kroger reconvened on Thursday to bargain Kroger Grocery/Non-Food and Meat Agreements. We know that the bargaining process has been long, and we appreciate your patience.
We’ve tentatively agreed to language items. We’ve also tentatively agreed to health care plan designs and language.
New provisions of the health care law impact not only the health care language and benefits, but also language items and resources available for wages. Your Union Bargaining Committee has worked diligently to make changes to your contract as manageable as possible.
We made progress on establishing framework for wage scales. In our next meeting, we will continue our work on negotiating wages. We hope to reach a settlement soon.
The Toledo Kroger Grocery/Non-Food and Meat Agreements are on extension. Our next meeting is scheduled for September 18.
