UFCW Local 75 and Kroger are continuing to work on a new contract for members in Cincinnati Area stores. We’ve made good progress, but are still working through health care benefits and wages.
Our goal is to reach a balanced agreement with affordable health care benefits, wage increases, and language improvements, but it takes time to negotiate changes like merging health care plan designs, or even entire contracts.
Since we have tentatively agreed to most language items, your Union Bargaining Committee is continuing to meet to work through those potential changes in the Cincinnati and Dayton Agreements. We have more meetings, including this week, to review the language changes in the context of the Cincinnati agreement and will begin to work on the changes in the context of the Dayton agreement soon.
We are also meeting to review outstanding proposals over the next couple weeks, prior to our next bargaining session.
UFCW Local 75 and Kroger are scheduled to meet next on June 20.
For more information, please contact your Union Representative.
The UFCW Local 75/Cincinnati Kroger contract is on extension; it covers about 12,000 people. The UFCW Local 75/Dayton Kroger contract expires in June 2015; it covers about 4,000 people.
