UFCW Local 75 and Kroger reconvened this week to discuss Kroger Grocery/Non-Food and Meat Agreements. We spent our time working through language issues in each contract and are making good progress.
We’ve been working to negotiate common plan designs and one experience pool for members of UFCW Local 75 working in Toledo, Dayton, and Cincinnati area Kroger Stores. Through common plan designs and one experience pool, we can stabilize health care costs and protect affordable, quality health care. We are still bargaining in Cincinnati and are working to reach an agreement that meets the needs of our members; we want to make sure that any changes to health care are as manageable as possible.
UFCW Local 75 and Kroger agreed to contract extensions until May 31, 2014; the extensions will continue on a meeting-to-meeting basis. Your wages and benefits will not change as a result of the contract extension; the extension includes retroactivity to March 29, 2014.
